Project: Sherlock Holmes – "The Sign of the Four" (2024) Artistic Concept & Narrative Flow This project demonstrates a seamless transition between storytelling and symbolic representation.
•Reverse (Narrative Scene): Focuses on character psychology and Victorian-era accuracy. The composition of the interior requires sophisticated multi-plane management to maintain the depth of the room while keeping the focus on the three main figures. It is a testament to the ability to translate classic literary illustration into the language of numismatic relief.
•Obverse (Symbolism & Context): Combines iconic London architecture (Tower Bridge) with the protagonist’s personal attributes. The hands cradling the pipe create a natural, organic frame that anchors the entire technical composition. Technical Excellence & Production Readiness •Ultra High Relief (UHR) Management: The design is optimized for UHR technology. The complex perspective of the bridge on the obverse and the layered interior of the reverse are specifically engineered to maximize the plasticity of the silver during the minting process.
•Hybrid Minting Techniques: The project integrates a 3D insert (the pipe) and selective digital printing/gilding (key details on the reverse). This showcases a deep understanding of modern, multi-material production workflows.
•Structural Precision: From the intricate textures of the period clothing to the fine tension of the bridge cables, every element is designed to ensure maximum sharpness and strikeability, even at high production volumes.
